What does Loose Threads do?

You talk for a minute about whatever is on your mind. It turns what you said into a short list of things in your own words, and you go through them one at a time: set a day, take a first step, mark it as waiting on someone, park it for later, or let it go.

What do I need?

An iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer), with iOS 26 or later, and Apple Intelligence switched on in Settings under Apple Intelligence & Siri. On a phone where it isn't available, the app says so rather than pretending to work.

Where do my notes go?

Nowhere. Your voice is turned into text on your phone, and your notes are saved only on your phone. There's no account and no server.

It can't hear me, or the words don't appear.

• Check Loose Threads is allowed to use the Microphone and Speech Recognition in your iPhone's Settings → Loose Threads.
• Speak close to the phone and tap the square when you're done.
• You can always type instead: use the keyboard button on the listening screen, or “or type instead” on the home screen.

The list missed something, or got something wrong.

Before you go through the list you can fix any item, remove it, or add what it missed. Nothing is added that you didn't say.

I let something go by mistake.

You can change your mind for a week. Open Settings and choose Recently let go.

What's free, and what's in Loose Threads Pro?

Free gives you seven new notes a week, the full sorting flow, your list, letting go, and your thread. Pro removes the weekly limit and adds a look back at your week, memory across days (it notices when something comes up again), every note you've talked through searchable, and thread colours, backgrounds and app icons.

Pro is monthly, yearly (with a 7-day free trial) or a one-off lifetime purchase.

What happens if Pro ends?

Nothing you wrote is deleted. You go back to seven new notes a week, and a Pro thread colour, background or app icon goes back to the free one.

I bought Pro. How do I get it on my other iPhone?

Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, then choose Restore purchases on the Pro screen.

How do I turn off the daily nudge?

Open Settings in the app and turn off the daily nudge, or turn off notifications for Loose Threads in your iPhone's Settings.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?
